Description of Components (1)Satellite Dish Reflectors collect electromagnetic waves beamed from the satellite and directs them to the LNB. The satellite dish must be pointed directly at the satellite. (2) LNB (Low Noise Block Down Converter) converts the signal from high frequency (KU-band) to intermediate frequency range (from 950 - 1450 MHz). It also amplifies the signal and prepares it for demodulation and decoding by the Satellite Receiver Hyundai or UltraPlus . (3) (Satellite Receiver) also called a set-top box "STB" or Decoder, which receives and decodes the digital signal stream, provides power to the LNB and produces PAL/NTSC signal to be viewed on the TV set.
